Introduction
Spotify remembers your music listening history so you can instantly return to a previously played song. If you want to see this list, here’s how to do so on mobile, desktop, and browser.
- Note: You can only examine your Spotify listening history; you can’t delete anything from it.
Mobile Access to Your Spotify Listening History
Use the official Spotify app to check your recently played music on your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone.
Begin by opening the Spotify app on your phone. If you haven’t already, sign in to your account.
Tap “Home” on Spotify’s bottom bar to return to the app’s home screen.
When the home screen appears, touch “Recently Played” in the top-right corner (a broken clock icon).
You’ll see a page labeled “Recently Played.” Spotify displays a list of all the songs you’ve lately listened to.
If you want to play something from this list, simply tap on it and it will begin to play.
Examine Your Spotify Listening History on the Desktop
To examine your listening history on your computer, first start the Spotify app. Check that you’re logged in to your account in the app.
Click the “Queue” option in the bottom-right corner of Spotify (a play icon with two and a half horizontal lines). This is next to the volume control.
Select the “Recently Played” tab at the top of the “Queue” page.
You’ll now see a list of the songs you’ve recently listened to. If you want to play anything quickly, click on it.
To take additional actions on these things, such as adding these songs to a certain playlist, click the three-dots icon next to each item and pick the relevant choice.
And you’re done.
On the web, you may view your Spotify listening history
Spotify on the web does not have a separate tab for seeing your listening history. However, on the “Home” page, there is a section that displays your most recently played music.
To get there, open a web browser on your computer and navigate to the Spotify online player. Then, if you haven’t already, sign in to your account.
After logging in, pick “Home” from the left sidebar of Spotify.
A “Recently Played” section will appear on the right pane. This is where you’ll discover your musical history.
With your music history, you can listen to some of your favorite music tracks from the past!
